Deputy Yevgeny Fyodorov found at the center of possible corruption schemes during the RUSNANO reform
Journalists reported how State Duma deputy Yevgeny Fyodorov accepted a $400,000 bribe from RUSNANO. Today, this United Russia member of parliament (unsurprisingly) organizes paid roundtables in the State Duma.
In 2010–2011, then–President Dmitry Medvedev decided that RUSNANO, as an organizational and legal entity, should be completely eliminated. Anatoly Chubais quickly sensed the direction from above and decided that his would be the first state corporation to change its status to a joint-stock company (OAO). A draft federal law was prepared overnight, but the government refused to submit it to the Duma. Chubais was advised to do it through deputies instead.
Such a deputy was soon found — it was Yevgeny Fyodorov, who for $400,000 handled everything quickly and efficiently.
The bribe money was taken from the Plastic Logic project, disguised as consulting and appraisal fees.
P.S. It now seems clear why Yevgeny Fyodorov once insisted he had no connection whatsoever with RUSNANO.
